Location is great. Price is good. However, the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Our bathroom floor looked as if it had not been cleaned in months. We had to ask twice for towels and toilet paper. No one came to our room for anything the entire stay. Not even to clean and bring fresh linens. The breakfast area was satisfactory if you overlooked the food that was on the floor (which remained there for the duration of our 3 night/4 day stay). Beds were the most uncomfortable I've experienced in a hotel. We didn't use the pool. Will not stay here again.

Upon arrival, our room door was wide open before we got checked in. It had to be locked to close. The desk people spoke rudely over an intercom. Staff was not helpful whatsoever. The toilet was messed up, and they handed me a plunger to fix it myself. Above all, staff refused to give us a different room (one that had a door that would shut and a toilet that would flush) 10 out 10 DO NOT RECOMMEND! I will NOT be staying here again.

Rooms are good but there blanket is as thin as bed sheets. The room was clean. The heater worked perfectly. The breakfast was juice, coffee cereal and packaged muffins.

Some reviews I have read are pretty harsh compared to my experience.

I rented from here (right after Ocktoberfest) because I wanted to be close to down town but not in a super busy area. It's literally a half mile from the start of the shops. So as for my review (and I use to clean resort rooms for a living so I could pick the place apart but want to say this:
Price-- Spending 4 nights- got to check in about an hour early. I literally paid what some of the places go for a night- for my 4night/5day stay.
Management and staff- The gentleman up front is laid back and helpful. Housekeeping will not bother you unless you ask for your room to be picked up.
The hotel as a whole: With recent renovations that's been going on you can see some things that is not perfect... however, if you want luxury and all the bells and whistles- there's plenty of those type places to rent around. Parking on site (and legitimately a half a mile walk to the beginning of the shops). Ice and vending machines on site, and right off the lobby there is a breakfast area and access to the pool and hot tub. *bonus- indoor POOL IS HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE WITH CHAIR LIFT
THE ROOM: Some previous reviews had a lot of "nitpicking" and I'm gonna have you 100% honest feed back...
The overall cleanliness- I did see a little dust- only when I dropped my charger behind a table and had to move it to grab. Carpets were clean, furniture was clean, vanity area and bathroom were clean. The only issue we saw was a little mildew build up starting on the bottom of the shower curtain and one pillow on the bed had a stain on the case and we got a new one no problem. The bed was comfy. The bedding is thin but there is extra blankets. Hair dryer available along with a place to hang some laundry. Small coffee maker (with the makings), dorm size fridge and microwave in the room. Water temp can get super hot (no complaints just watch little ones when running the water) but shower pressure is IMPRESSIVE).
You are on the side of main street so until 10ish there is traffic that you can hear from the front side. AC/Heater duo works great.
Pool/Spa- haven't got in, but it is open in November.
Overall, great stay for the money.

If I could leave a 0 I would. Arrived at 830pm on Aug 31 for a 2 night stay. When we first got there, the key wouldn't work, and after the manager got the key fixed, the room was used, dirty bed linens, bloody towels on the sink, trash all over the room. Their solution was to change the sheets and that was it. Needless to say, we decided to come back home (4hours away). If I had to do it over again, I WOULDN'T STAY HERE FOR NO AMOUNT OF MONEY!!!! Even the guy that was sent to clean the room said he wouldn't stay there with the room like that

We stayed not even one night and got bitten up by bed bugs!! I wish I would have read the reviews before booking but it was just a cheap hotel stay for one night and it had a pool for the kids.. after waking up in the middle of the night by my fiancé being itchy we turned the lights on to discover an INFESTATION of bed bugs!! They were in both beds everywhere in the sheets crawling on the pillows everywhere!! There was also a nasty blood stain on the sheets. We packed up put everything on the back of the truck and headed to the office and rung the bell and waited where the man who checked us in comes out of a room and tells us he’s not giving us a refund because we stayed all night!!! It was 3am! He did not care about us being eaten up by bed bugs and he was definitely aware of them, he seemed more bothered that we woke him up out of his sleep. Just please beware of this hotel and do not stay here no matter what!! We stayed in room 116. We have contacted Priceline to get a refund and they have been very helpful just want everyone to be aware of this place!! DO NOT GO NO MATTER WHAT!!!

I really enjoyed my time here at this Motel again. The manager is great and helpful. It’s a cheap no frills place that is clean. It’s on the edge of helen but you don’t have to deal with downtown traffic. I will be back next time I’m in Helen.
